    Alex Prezanti is an international lawyer, specializing in international criminal law, human rights, anti-corruption, and sanctions. Alex is also partner at Global Diligence LLP (a UK-based legal advisory firm) and a barrister at Guernica 37 Chambers in London. Alex has spent over fifteen years providing legal advice, assistance and representation to individuals, non-governmental organisations and public authorities across the globe.

  • Emily Patterson, Co-Founder & Head of Policy

    Emily Patterson is an international lawyer with a background in human rights, rule of law, and development. Her twenty-plus years of experience include designing and implementing programmes in the rule of law and human rights fields, advising on human rights in conflict and post-conflict settings, advocating for legal and policy change and the domestic and international levels, and representing clients in Texas courts.

  • Georgia Gudex, Lawyer

    Georgia is a New Zealand qualified lawyer called to the bar in 2018, who specialises in international human rights law and public international law. She has practiced in New Zealand, the UK and remotely, working on a range of human rights-related issues. As a lawyer in the UK she worked within a public law team specialising in human rights and immigration law, representing individuals with underlying asylum, modern slavery, humanitarian and human rights claims.

  • Mark Webster, Lawyer & Project Coordinator

    Mark is a Scottish qualified lawyer and international legal adviser, who specializes in international criminal law, human rights, the rule of law, and sanctions. Prior to working in civil society, Mark worked for the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, as the Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina’s War Crimes/Rule of Law Legal Adviser. He has also worked at the International Criminal Court, in the Appeals Section of the Office of the Prosecutor, and at the United Nations Assistance to the Khmer Rouge Trials, in the Office of the Co-Investigating Judges.

  • Olga Chemiia, Finance Advisor

    Olga is a finance specialist with over ten years of experience in private and public organizations. For her, professional commitment is not only income and working hours but also a way to manifest my values and beliefs. With an Accounting background, Olga gained expertise while providing a wide range of services as a Grants Officer, Finance and Contracts Officer, Finance Manager, and Finance and Administration Lead. She has participated in projects funded by the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, the Robert Carr Civil Society Networks Fund, Aidsfonds, MPact Global Action for Gay Men’s Health and Rights, Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor, The National Endowment for Democracy, Open Society Foundations, and The European Commission.

Our Team

Our core team has decades of experience in international law, policy advocacy, and technical support. Co-founder Alex Prezanti is an international lawyer, partner at Global Diligence LLP, and barrister at Guernica 37 Chambers. Alex has over 16 years of experience in international law, human rights, and sanctions. Co-Founder Emily Patterson is a qualified lawyer with over 20 years of experience in engaging in policy advocacy and designing and managing programs in the field of human rights and the rule of law. She has worked in various positions with international governmental and non-governmental organizations in addition to frequently serving as a technical expert. Alex and Emily are supported by a team of international lawyers, policy analysts, investigators, training/mentoring experts, and management/operations consultants.
